First, pharmaceutical water equipment classification:
1, Potable Water: usually the tap Water or deep well Water supplied by the Water company, also known as raw Water, the quality must meet the national standard GB5749-2006 "drinking Water sanitation standards".According to the 2010 Chinese Pharmacopoeia, drinking water cannot be directly used for preparation or test water.
2, Purified Water (Purified Water): for raw Water by distillation, ion exchange method, reverse osmosis method or other suitable method of pharmaceutical Water, does not contain any additional agent.Purification water can be used as a solvent or test water for the preparation of common pharmaceutical preparations, and shall not be used for the preparation of injections. Purification water prepared by ion exchange method, reverse osmosis method, ultrafiltration method and other non-heat treatment methods is generally called deionized water.The purified water prepared by distillation with specially designed distillator is generally called distilled water.
3. Water for Injection: Water prepared by membrane filtration after distillation by specially designed distiller, condensation and cooling with purified Water as raw Water.Water for injection can be used as a solvent for preparing injections.
4. Sterile Water for Injection: Sterile Water for Injection is made for Water for Injection according to the production process.Sterilization Water for Injection A solvent used to sterilize powders or as a diluent for injections.
